Work

A little summary of what I’ve done

Peloton, Interactive

I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of innovative and complex products during my time at Peloton, and I’m currently leading the user research efforts for AI-powered features. I truly enjoy collaborating with many talented individuals, and I appreciate that we all share a strong commitment to continually improving the fitness experience for our Members.

Because we’re always looking to deepen our knowledge as we grow into new product spaces and rigoruousy evaluate throughout the product cycle, I’ve had the opportunity to apply an array of methodologies in my research — my favorite! I’ve created dynamic survey strategies, led numerous focus groups, conducted ethnographic studies, and organized (trained and rallied, of course) entire teams of engineers and designers to run wizard of oz studies, and even do user interviews!

Google Research

I can’t share too many details about the specific projects I’ve worked on, but this role marked my very first experience with developing user-facing AI products, which was an exciting and valuable milestone in my career. In this position, I functioned as a bilingual User Experience Researcher, conducting international research across different regions and cultures. The opportunity to gather diverse insights and work with global teams was truly rewarding. Overall, it was an awesome and enriching experience.

Rapid Research at Google

During my first assignment at Google I was on a rapid research team where we worked on various product areas like Google Assistant, Search, and News. Functioning as a “consultancy” within Google, we conducted “fast” user research where research sessions, analyses and deliverables were completed within 1 week. As a UX Researcher I partnered with product team UX Researchers, designers, and other product team members to carry out some of their most pressing UX research needs.

Want to know something fun about the research team? Our rapid research team was very dedicated to getting to know users near and far. Pre-pandemic you could find us recruiting people visiting the Google Campuses or as far as the research van would go. That’s right, we drove a giant research van to reach users we wouldn’t otherwise be able to! Sometimes, even all around the US.
